I shot this with my macro lens and remarkably no tripod.  Needless to say I was pretty psyched that it actually came out when I saw it.  This is a poor scan of a photo taken using Fuji film, 2003.

While I was painting a watercolor of this scene at the Burren in Doolin, Ireland,  The entire sky turned a magnificent shade of purple.  I knew I only had a couple moments, so I grabbed my camera and went to town.  I will  never forget it, it was so breathtaking.

Macro is what really got me into serious photography.  I love getting so close to an image that it is not recognizable yet viewers are still taken by its beauty.  I consider it focusing on the simple aspects of an image and showing its beauty.  Most people would not look at this portion of a rose and see it as I did here.

Editorial Photography can be tough.  It can be a lot of fun as well.  I was able to learn a lot about commercial photos while working for the newspaper.

She is a Blue Pit Bull Terrier.  In this photo she is only 3 months old.  I take her everywhere.  If I could, I would rescue all the Pit Bull's I could and show them that not all people are bad.

This is the best time to take a baby's photo in my opinion.  I think this day is important and should be remembered.
